Laser sensor is a sensor that uses laser technology to measure, and generally consists of laser, optical components and optical circuits. It can convert physical quantities such as length, distance, vibration, speed and flow into optical signals, and then convert optical signals into electrical signals using photoelectric converters, and then filter, amplify and rectify through corresponding circuits, and then output signals to complete the measurement.
Compared with ultrasonic, infrared, millimeter wave and other sensors, laser sensors have unparalleled advantages in measuring accuracy, resolution, anti-interference, stability, reaction speed and other aspects. Therefore, if the accuracy is required to be 0.1mm, 0,01mm, or even 1 micron, the laser sensor is! So how to choose the laser sensor correctly? The following three points need to be noted:


Pay attention to the structure and material of the tested object.


Laser sensor measurement requires a complete triangular optical path. If the measured object has deep grooves or complex surface, it may block the triangular optical path and affect the measurement effect; In addition, if light absorbing materials such as black rubber are measured with laser sensors, the exposure time needs to be adjusted reasonably.


Select the most appropriate parameter index as required.


These parameters include the accuracy, resolution, measurement speed, ambient temperature, vibration and impact of the sensor.
